Honestly Healing

About Honestly Healing

What makes Honestly Healing different?

Mental health conditions can vary widely from person to person in terms of symptoms and how they respond to treatment. It is one size fits all. That’s why we offer 90 minute initial evaluations instead of the standard 60 minutes. In doing so, we have more than enough time to gather your medical, psychiatric, social, and developmental history. We will also have time to talk about your more salient concerns, create a treatment plan, and answer any lingering questions you may have.

Who We Are

Honestly Healing was founded on a simple belief: when we understand ourselves more honestly, we gain the freedom to live, lead, and connect more intentionally.

We are a Dallas-based private practice offering three tracks of care: concierge therapy for executives and leaders, individual therapy, and couples therapy. Every client receives the same honest, personalized, EMDR-informed care, and we keep a limited caseload so each person gets real attention.

Our work blends evidence-based approaches, including EMDR, DBT, and body-based (somatic) therapy, with practical strategies that carry beyond the therapy room.

We see clients in person at our offices in Dallas and Irving, and by telehealth anywhere in Texas, Colorado, and Florida.

The Science of Healing

Much of our work centers on understanding how the body and mind respond to past trauma, and how those responses shape the brain, emotions, and everyday behavior. When something overwhelming happens, the nervous system adapts to protect us. Those adaptations can stay long after the danger has passed, showing up as anxiety, shutdown, reactivity, or patterns that are hard to change through insight alone.

Our approach is grounded in Polyvagal Theory and trauma science, with training directly from Dr. Stephen Porges, who developed Polyvagal Theory, and Dr. Bessel van der Kolk, author of The Body Keeps the Score. That foundation helps clients feel safe in their bodies, calm the nervous system, and create lasting change.

We also draw inspiration from teachers of mindset and personal transformation, including Dr. Wayne Dyer, Dr. Joe Dispenza, Bob Proctor, Earl Nightingale, and Neville Goddard, whose work on the power of thought, intention, and belief complements our clinical work.
